Heading France-ward, the tapeworm rule does not apply, but your pet still needs a microchip, a valid rabies vaccination and an AHC or EU pet passport for entry. For west London pickups we usually join the M20 via the M25 - leaving after the morning rush (after 9:30) makes the Folkestone run much smoother.

Travelling GB to EU, your pet needs a microchip, rabies vaccination and an Animal Health Certificate issued in Great Britain (EU pet passports issued in the EU remain valid for entry). We walk you through the exact timeline when you book.

We drop you at your door with tips on local vets, pet-friendly parks and the Paris rules for dogs on the Metro - small pets in carriers travel free, larger dogs need a reduced-fare ticket.

What to expect on this journey

Your chauffeur collects you and your pet at your address in Central London at the time that suits you. From there it is a calm, direct drive of around 281 miles - roughly 5 h 30 min door to door - in a private, climate-controlled vehicle. Your dog or cat stays beside you the whole way: no cargo hold, no handovers and no other animals on board, with comfort stops whenever your pet needs one.

At the Eurotunnel terminal we handle the pet check-in together - the microchip scan and document check usually take about 15 minutes - then your pet stays with you in the car for the 35-minute crossing. On the other side we drive straight to your final address in Central Paris, whether that is a hotel, a new home or a family doorstep.

The fare for Central London to Central Paris is fixed before you book and starts from £715. It covers the vehicle, your dedicated driver, tolls and as many comfort stops as your pet needs. The Eurotunnel ticket is paid separately at the terminal, and we never add weekend or holiday surcharges.
