London to Amsterdam with a pet: one calm day
Our longest Benelux run is also one of the most rewarding: around six and three-quarter hours door to door, done gently with two proper walk stops. Your dog or cat stays beside you in a private, climate-controlled vehicle the whole way - no cargo hold, no courier handovers, just you, your pet and a chauffeur who does this route every week.
Leaving London: stations, homes and airports
We collect from anywhere in Greater London, with Euston and St Pancras the favourite meeting points for travellers arriving from the rest of the UK - London is the natural hub, and we time pickups to your incoming train. An early start around 7:00 puts you in Amsterdam for mid-afternoon. Heathrow and Gatwick pickups include live flight tracking, so landing late never breaks the plan.
The route north: tunnel, then three countries in one drive
After the M20 to Folkestone and the 35-minute crossing with your pet in the car, the route runs Calais-Dunkirk-Ghent-Antwerp-Amsterdam on smooth motorway - about four and a half hours. We stop for a dog walk near the French border and again outside Antwerp; cats get calm water breaks with the doors safely shut.
Documents and what the fare includes
GB to the Netherlands: microchip, rabies vaccination at least 21 days old, and an Animal Health Certificate issued within 10 days (or a valid EU pet passport). No tapeworm treatment this direction. The fare is mileage-based and fixed before you book - tolls included, Eurotunnel ticket paid separately. For elderly or anxious pets we can split the journey over two days with a pet-friendly hotel stop.
